Oliver + S Gallery Tunic Sew-a-Long
I decided to try sewing for myself for the first time in ages and to participate in a sew-a-long for the first time ever. I used a piece of fabric I've had for ages and I think it is silk if I remember correctly. The pattern instructions are clearly written and I didn't have any problems. If I make it again, I'd do the 3/4 length sleeve and the other collar. The pattern fit quite well, perhaps a little too roomy at the hips and I'd prefer a bit more room in the sleeves since the fabric has no stretch.

Altenew Inspiration Challenge Feb. 2016
I decided to try a challenge for the first time in a very long time. I love Altenew Stamps and loved the colors in the inspiration photo. I used stamps from A Beautiful Day and colored them with watercolors. My card was heavily inspired by the lovely card shown on Altenew's blog!

SHARE HANDMADE KINDNESS
I have admired Jennifer McGuire for a long time for many reasons. Her new website is great and I love her idea to share handmade kindness. Here's a card I made for my daughter and her family as a thank you after my recent visit with them. I used a WPlus 9 stamp and watercolored the image and added a sentiment from Jillibean. Thanks for looking!

Water Color for Card Makers - Play Day
After seeing how Tim Holtz used the stencil for a background, I decided to give it another try. I hadn't been successful on a similar technique one Day 1 but went and bought different water color paper. Not much choice in the small town I live in! I used WPlus9 Fresh Cut Florals and PTI Meadow Greens stamps and Color Box Striped Stencil.
Watercolor for Card Makers - Day 6
Another attempt at water coloring stamped images and again about my 4th or 5th try at the same image. It was fun though! I used WPlus9 Fresh Cut Florals, Layers of Color Her Majestry's Urns and PTI Round and Round stamp.s
Watercolor for Card Makers - Day 5
Here's my 6th or so attempt at watercoloring a stamped image! I stamped the flower once and softened it with water, but it seemed to blah, so stamped again with a different color and left the details. I used PTI Meadow Greens and Avery Elle Oh Happy Day stamps.
