FLLCBDAY

Congratulations to Flourishes on their 2nd BD. They have beautiful stamps! Here's a birthday card I made using PTI stamps and paper. Looks like our weathe is cooling down a bit today. We have had two days of record highs, very usual heat and humidy for the coast.

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge 13

Here's another color combo I never would have tried on my own, but I am quite happy with the results. Thanks Dawn! My photo colors are a bit off, the moss green is prettier IRL.  I made the first one last night for an anniversary later this month and then took another look at the inspiration photo and wanted to try a card that more closely followed the actual image. I'd love a Nestability in the lemon-shape like the soap tin.  It's been so hot here I was trying to wait until it had cooled off upstairs before going to bed, but by this time it was midnight, so I decided I could quickly finish it off this morning. Two hours later...... and I think I like the first one the best! Time to get busy and clean up for company coming for dinner and start planning a 4 day camping trip leaving Friday. My blog should be called "Cards that take me way more time than I think they will" LOL!. The paper is all from PTI, ribbon is PTI, stamps are PTI and Clearly Impressed.

A Passion for Papertrey

Have you found this site? I've enjoyed seeing the ideas using PTI product. They are offering blog candy right now. Here's a link

I really enjoy going to Moxie Fab World's blog and seeing ideas for color, fabric and paper crafts. This card is based on a purse, the Paige Fabric Crossbody. I had fun "quilting" a card and it sure takes a lot less time than quilting with fabric!! Paper is from SEI, Imaginesce and PTI and the stamp is PTI. The little corduroy buttons are from Upsy Daisy designs and I used my Fiskars crest edge punch and Nestabilities double-ended tags.

Thank you Kristina

Kristina Werner inspired me to make these cards. I always have a hard time making a card for a man, so I thought these cards would work. I loved making them although I found the geometry of it a bit fiddly at first. It looked so easy when Kristina did it!! I ended up making 4 cards altogether and it feels good to use up a bit of all those scraps I keep saving. The card base is PTI, but I have no ideas about the bits and pieces. The moth is from Art Chix and I printed off the sentiment on the computer.

The dog loves water!

We took Keeva down to the beach yesterday, she is a water maniac and loves to retrieve her orange kong. A bit of seaweed doesn't bother her at all. It was a beautiful afternoon - we are having a great summer!

Framed Layouts of Grandchildren

My sister came for an visit this weekend and of course I had to take her to my favorite shop, She Runs With Scissors. She isn't a cardmaker or scrapbooker, so I think it is my responsibility as her older sister to try to get her hooked on paper like me! We saw some beautiful framed layouts hanging on the wall and decided it would be a fun project for us. Here are the results! Amber and Liam will are only 2 weeks apart and are both 3 1/2 now.

Thinking of You Today

I got the inspiration for this from Papertrey Ink. All of the paper and stamps are from PTI, the flower was cut on the Cricut and I used an edge punch from Fiskars and a leaf punch from Martha Stewart. I made the card for my friends who had to put their old dog down.

Expecting

My youngest daughter and her husband are expecting their first baby in January. I made this card for them. We are all very excited. I started looking through my knitting patterns and quilt patterns. July isn't the best time to start knitting though, but I'll have lots of time in the fall.

Supplies: Paper & little green leaves - PTI, Stamp - Imaginesce, Flower - unknown, bought in NZ, White border - Martha Stewart

Yippee

Dawn chose my card for the "Spotlight" in the last challenge. I was pretty pleased! The card was for my friend's 60th BD. My granddaughter made a cute card using the tissue paper flower and had so much fun that she came over a few days later and wanted to make more flowers.

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #11

Here's the latest color challenge from Dawn McVey's blog. I think this card is a little plain on top but after 2 days didn't come up with a better idea, so here it is! I really like the idea Lauren Meader had for the tissue paper flowers and have made two cards (so far) with them. Stamps and paper from PTI except for the tissue paper.
